Pip Mostern

Pip Mostern is a senior double majoring in Anthropology and Environmental Studies, as well as pursuing a certificate in GIS. They grew up in California but went to high school in Pittsburgh and have been living in the city for 7 years. This past summer, they participated in the MCSI Undergraduate Research Program where they worked on a composting project at Garfield Community Farm. This was their 5th season volunteering and working at the farm on projects ranging from planting to building infrastructure. They've also worked at other non profits in Pittsburgh, including Tree Pittsburgh and Venture Outdoors. This semester, Pip will be working at Oasis Farm and Fishery, focusing on their aquaponics system. In their free time, Pip enjoys spending time with their cats, watching horror movies, and doing political organizing.
